Axir and Zoom

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Trainers and institutes use Axir to run online classes. The Zoom connection lets Axir create your class meetings for you and bring your class recordings into Axir, so your students find everything in one place. Students join classes through the normal Zoom link; Axir never joins or records a meeting itself.

How to add it

  1. Sign in to Axir and open a cohort (a group of students).
  2. In Live classes, choose Connect Zoom.
  3. Zoom asks you to approve Axir. Choose Allow.
  4. Back in Axir, set the days, time and number of weeks. Axir creates a recurring Zoom meeting in your own Zoom account, with cloud recording turned on.

How it works

  • Meetings: the recurring meeting appears in your Zoom account. Students see their classes, with the join link, only inside Axir after they sign in. Cancelling a class or a series in Axir removes it from Zoom.
  • Recordings: when a class ends and Zoom finishes the cloud recording, Axir copies the video into its own private storage, prepares a protected version and shares it with students enrolled in that cohort. You can hide or delete any recording in Axir.

What Axir can access

  • Your Zoom name, email address and account identifier, to show which account is connected.
  • Meetings: Axir creates, reads and deletes the meetings it creates for your classes. It does not change or delete any other meeting.
  • Cloud recordings: Axir receives a notice when a recording finishes and downloads the video of meetings it created. Recordings from other meetings are ignored and not stored. Axir copies one video per class (the shared screen with speaker view when Zoom has recorded it); chat, transcripts, audio-only and other files are not downloaded.

Your Zoom password is never shared with Axir. Zoom gives Axir access keys, which Axir stores encrypted and uses only for the actions above.

How to remove it

  • In Axir: open a cohort and choose Disconnect under Live classes. Axir forgets your Zoom access keys and tells Zoom to stop honouring them.
  • In Zoom: open the Zoom App Marketplace, choose Manage, then Installed Apps, find Axir and choose Uninstall. Axir loses access immediately, and when Zoom tells us the app was removed we erase your Zoom user id, account id, email and access keys from Axir.
  • Class meetings Axir created and recordings already copied into Axir stay with your institute until you delete them in Axir; they are no longer linked to your Zoom account. To have all of your information deleted, email dev@axir360.com.
