Who we are. Axir is operated by Edzest Education Services (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., Sy. No. 42, Dinne Anjaneyaswamy Temple Road, Haralur, Bengaluru 560102, India (“Axir”, “we”). Contact: dev@axir360.com.
Two roles
Axir is a platform that trainers and institutes (“institutes”) use to run online programmes.
- For information about an institute’s students (their enrolment, learning activity, exam attempts, questions and doubts), the institute decides why and how it is used, and Axir processes it on the institute’s behalf. Students should ask their institute first about their data.
- For the account, sign-in and security information of people who use Axir, and for this website, Axir is responsible directly.
What we collect
- Account: name, email address and role. Passwords are handled by Amazon Cognito; Axir never sees or stores them.
- Programme records the institute creates: cohorts, enrolments, class schedules, courses, lessons, exams and questions, events and registrations.
- Learning activity: lesson progress, answers to knowledge checks and exams, scores, time spent, flashcard reviews, practice sessions, doubts asked and answered, and event attendance. Course analytics shown to institutes use an anonymous code, not names.
- Videos and recordings that institutes upload. Playback carries a watermark showing who is watching.
- Messages: in-app notifications and emails about classes, exams, access, doubts and events. Optional emails can be switched off in the app, and each carries an unsubscribe link.
- Technical data: server logs (such as IP address, browser and time), kept for security and for fixing faults.
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics that identify you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to train AI models.
How we use information
To run the service: sign you in, show each person the right content, record progress and results, send the messages above, keep the service secure, fix problems and meet legal duties.
Who we share it with
- The institute you study or teach with, which sees its own students’ and staff records.
- Service providers that help us run Axir, only as needed: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, sign-in and email, in the Sydney region).
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell information.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Data is stored in Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia, encrypted on disk, in storage and in transit. Each institute’s data is separated at the database level, and this separation is tested automatically before every release. Staff-only actions need a staff role. We keep backups of the database for 70 days. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects an institute’s data we will tell that institute promptly.
How long we keep it
- Student and programme records: while the institute keeps its account, and deleted on the institute’s request or when it closes its account.
- Course activity events: 180 days (summary totals are kept without personal details).
- Backups: kept for 70 days, so deleted data also leaves our backups within 70 days.
- Messages sent to us (for example early-access requests): as long as needed for the conversation, and deleted on request unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information, and to withdraw consent for optional messages. Students should contact their institute first. For anything Axir holds directly, email dev@axir360.com; we will reply within 30 days. We respect the rights you have under the laws that apply to you, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
Axir is for professional and adult learners. If an institute enrols anyone under 18, the institute is responsible for any parent or guardian consent the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell institutes by email and update the date above.
